The Incredibles based on the hit Disney movie has become afavorite fun kid party theme.

The Incredibles Invitations

Have fun creating a "top secret" message as your Incredibleschild party theme invitation.

You might say something like this. "Calling all superheros...The Incredibles need your help!"

"You're invited to help Mr. Incredible and Elastiwoman protectour city from the evil villain, "syndrom" at (insert the firstand last name of your child)'s party... Andwe're celebrating with The Incredibles." "The superhero birthdayaction begins on (date of party)."

"Our superhero party location is top secret and will beknown only to our superhero guests... Only by holding thisinvitation up and facing it toward a mirror will you be able todecode this secret address message."

(Write the address backwards on the invitation so it will appearcorrectly when held up to a mirror).

"Our superhero party fun begins at (time) and will endat (time)."

"Superhero refreshments will be served."

"All superhero party guests are requested to RSVP using thesecret telephone number known only to our invited superheroguests.(phone number)"

"Every party guest wearing an Incredibles costume will be givena special secret party favor."

Have fun and be creative with your invitation. Your guests willquickly get the idea that this party is going to be special. They won't be able to wait for your party!

The Incredibles Decorations

Yellow, red and black are the main colors for The Incredibles.

Get your Incredibles party theme started right.

Decorate with yellow, red and black balloons, and crepe paper...Put "superhero" signs all over the place. Next to your telephoneput a sign that reads "telephone for superheros only." On thedoor to the restroom put up a sign that reads, "SuperheroRestroom."

Have fun, be creative, it's an Incredibles superhero party!

On your front door, attach yellow, red and black balloons and asign that reads "Secret Location, (name of your birthdaychild)'s Incredibles, superhero party."

Incredibles Party Theme Costumes

Costumes are a great way to get everyone into your Incrediblesbirthday party theme.

There are excellent online party stores and costume stores whereyou'll find a great selection of costumes including TheIncredibles...

Or you can try putting together your own costume... Usingyellow, red and black as your main colors, put together your owncreative version of Mr. Incredible or Elastiwoman.

Remember your camera, digital camera and video camera... You'regoing to want to take lots of pictures and video of yourbirthday child and all their friends in costume. You'll want toremember how everyone looked in their Incredibles partytheme costumes.

i want a feed to connect forum and blog
By: Unofficial DreamHost Blog » Blog Archive » Discussion Forum RSS Feed downtime
[...] I just realized that the The Unofficial DreamHost Discussion Forum RSS Feed (what a name!) haven’t been updated since I upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.0.4 three days ago (forgot to change my .htaccess). [...]

Sorry about the delay in replying. A very busy couple of weeks. I doubt that having a large feed is a problem, but I think that having two separate feeds would be best. That way people can just choose which one they prefer. Thanks for looking at this.

Ian - Just realised that I misread your comment. Somehow I thought that you wanted a feed for each forum (category/board). Sorry! Ian, Josh - I've now experimented with a feed that includes all the posts' content. It works pretty well, and it's really nice to be able to read the entire post in a feedreader. The only problem is that the rss-file is around 150 kb. Is this too much? Would it be better to limit the feed to only last 24 hours (currently it contains last 48 hours), or to only include excerpts. Another option would be to keep the existing rss feed with headlines only and then have another full post feed as an alternative. I would really like to hear your opinion on this... Thanks.

Josh - I agree that it would be more useful, but it would also require that I requested and parsed every single post in the feed every time I regenerate the RSS file (every 5 minutes) or saved a copy of every post in a database. I might give it a try, but I won't promise anything...

Seems to work fine, but it would be far more useful if the actual post content were included.
By: Unofficial DreamHost Blog
Ian - I guess that would be possible. Let's wait a couple of days to see if there's any problems with the main feed. <del>If more people would like category specific feeds please say ai!</del>

Would it be possible to put each forum post's content in the feed?

soon as the first guestarrives... Don't sit around waiting for everyone else, starthaving fun.

Have a large glass or glass jar filled with yellow and red jellybeans and tell each guest to use their superhero X-Ray vision toguess how many jelly beans are in the jar...

Write everyone's name on one piece of paper and put their guessnext to their name... Then just before your party ends, announcethe superhero guest with the best X-Ray vision. (whoever guessedclosest to the actual number of jelly beans in the jar wins.)

And remember to actually count the number of jelly beans you putin the jar before your party begins... Then write theactual number on a piece of paper and put that piece of papersomewhere safe and where you can easily get to it.

The Incredibles Movie And CD Fun

Set your Incredibles party theme right away by havingThe Incredibles movie DVD or video playing on your TV as yourguests arrive. (You can turn the sound down low or off)... Youcan also surprise your child by announcing that TheIncredibles DVD or video is one of their gifts...

For music during your party games and activities, playThe Incredibles movie soundtrack CD. This is an excellent way tokeep your Incredibles party theme going... You can alsomake the CD a gift for your child.

The Incredibles Coloring Book

Depending on the age of your group, you can pick up anIncredibles coloring book and some small boxes of crayons...Take pages out of the coloring book and let your party guestschoose pages to color... This is also a fairly quiet activity.

The Incredibles Puzzle

Kids love puzzles and what better way for your guests to get toknow each other than working on a puzzle together... Having apuzzle that fits your Incredibles party theme is anadded bonus.

The Incredibles Superhero Food and Drink

Even The Incredibles superheros need to replenish their energyafter a long day of saving the world from the villainous"Syndrom."

Consider these fun superhero foods

How about a "superhero sandwich?" Let each guest build their own(super) hero sandwich... Keep it simple and put fun superherolabels on everything.

"Power Bread"

"More Power Mustard"

"Red Energy Sauce" (ketchup)

"Power Pickles"

"Total Energy Turkey"

"Super-Sauce Mayo"

"Mr. Incredible Celery"

"Elastiwoman Cheese Slices"

"Raw Energy Raisins"

"Power Packed Carrot Sticks"

The Incredibles Superhero Energy Drinks

Try mixing Ginger Ale with cherry ice cream for a colorfulsuperhero drink.

Punch can be re-named "The Incredibles Super Sauce"

For a fun and creative drink project, let your party guests mixthree different and colorful Cool Aid drinks and Ginger Ale intotheir very own superhero drink... Cherry and Lime anyone?

For extra fizz, let them add pop-rocks...

Your Incredibles party theme is going to be a big hit!
